Have you ever had a puzzle ruined because you’re an idiot?

Have you ever struggled with a puzzle, spending hours over days trying solutions that lead you back to the same dead end? To the point that you look up a walkthrough for some hint?

And the walkthrough, in 5 seconds, shows you not only the path to the solution, but how much of an idiot you are for misunderstanding the rules that would have given you the solution?

My brain is rolling a lot of 1s these days.
